Where is the Ceremony?
Our wedding ceremony will take place at the historic Main Street Station in the headhouse. Upon arrival, enter the front of the building and you will be directed upstairs to the Headhouse.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you arrive early for the ceremony. This will allow ample time grab a welcome glass of wine, to find a seat and get settled before the proceedings begin. Please reference the Events page for timing details.
Will transportation be provided to the ceremony?
Transportation will not be provided. The wedding and reception are in the same location and located a short walk from the hotel where we have blocked rooms. For guests staying further from downtown, we recommend getting an Uber or Lyft, however, there is free parking at the venue.

The welcome party is about a 10 minute drive from downtown. We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft, or driving.
Should I rent a car, or is transportation easily accessible in the area?
For ease of travel, we recommend renting a car if you are not driving to Richmond. Public transportation options are available but a car will allow you greater flexibility. However, most activities are located in the downtown, with plenty to do walking distance from the hotel and venue, and the welcome party is only about a 10 min drive away. It is possible to Uber/Lyft through the weekend at not a large cost.
Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?
Yes, complimentary parking will be available at Main Street Station. You'll find clear signage directing you to designated parking areas upon arrival.
What should I wear? What is the dress code?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. Our wedding colors include bright fall tones - reds, dark greens, burnt oranges and golden yellows. While we have no strict color scheme for guests, we wouldn't recommend wearing pastels!
What weather should I expect?
Weather is always variable so please make sure to check the weather prior to packing. Richmond can be still pretty warm in late September but the evenings can be chilly. The wedding and reception will be entirely indoors, however, should it rain, we recommend bringing an umbrella if you plan to walk from the hotel to the venue.
Are kids welcome?
While we adore all the children in our lives, our wedding celebration will be an adults-only event with our niece and nephew attending only for the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
How do I know if I can bring a plus-one?
All plus-ones are specified on your invitation. We've thoughtfully planned our guest list, so we kindly ask that you RSVP only for those listed on the invitation.
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions?
There will be vegetarian options at the welcome party, wedding cocktail hour and dinner.
